A Career as a Hypnotherapist

Upon Completion of the Fundamental and Advanced Courses in Hypnotherapy and after submitting paperwork and fees to the National Guild of Hypnotists, you will be qualified to begin Your Career as a Hypnotherapist.  You will have the tools to help clients Stop Smoking, Manage their Stress Levels, Control their Weight, Improve their Sports Performance, Achieve their Success in Taking Tests, and numerous other endeavors, using the Pinpoint Method of Hypnotherapy.

You will be able to work with your clients and Help them to Help themselves. You will share in the Joy as your clients build their Confidence and go forth to greater Success and Accomplishments.

Course Fees

The following is a breakdown of fees charged for the two courses of study presently offered at The Capstone Institute of Hypnotherapy:


  • Fundamentals of Hypnotherapy Course                  $1,350.00
  • Advanced Hypnotherapy Course                              $!,350.00
  • Beginning and Advanced Courses                           $2,550.00*


*This price is offered only when both courses are paid for at the same time.

A mandatory fee of $20.00 will be charged for required textbook in addition to tuition.

In addition to the excellent curriculum covered in the Fundamental and Advanced Courses, students participate in practical application / lab time.  Students will practice induction, relaxation and therapy techniques using a "buddy system".  They will practice with each other and will have sessions with their instructor to learn from being the client, and being the hypnotherapist.





Students must have successfully completed the Fundamentals in Hypnotherapy course to enroll in the Advanced Course.


Upon successful completion of the Advanced Course in Hypnotherapy, you will automatically be accepted as a certified member into the National Guild Of Hypnotists upon submitting their paperwork and paying their dues.  You will be qualified to work in your own private practice, or use your acquired skills in your current field.


Hypnotherapists must have a business license unless they already have a license in place in which hypnotherapy is under that umbrella.  Certain licensing jurisdictions require a Background Check.  The student must pass the Background Check.  Capstone Institute of Hypnotherapy will NOT provide a refund if the student cannot pass the background investigation.

Advanced Course in Hypnotherapy

78 Hours

This beginning course in Hypnotherapy will cover a wide range of subjects from the history and evolution of Hypnotherapy to "pinpointing" and transmuting subconscious and emotional blocks.  Students must be at least 18 years of age and be able to speak and write English.


Upon completion you will be able to communicate your knowledge of self - hypnosis to alleviate a subjects fear or misconceptions and guide them with authority into the proper level of relaxation to facilitate their desired goal.  You will be able to use the power of visualization and suggestion to guide your subject to facilitate their desired goal.  You will also gain an understanding of how to "Pinpoint" any subconscious blocks that may be sabotaging the path to success and allow your client to transmute and align the conscious and subconscious energies.

Business Hours

  •      The Capstone Institute will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
  •      Other times and days can be accommodated.  Please call to find a class schedule to fit your needs.
  •      The school will be closed in observation of the following holidays:  New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day,  Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Nevada Admissions Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving break, and Christmas Break.


Entrance Requirements

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age and speak and write English clearly.


Registration

  •      All students must register at least one week in advance of the course starting date.


Attendance

  •      Students are require to attend all classroom lectures and labs to qualify for a Diploma.


Course Study

  •      A course will be taught the first full week of each month for a total of 75 hours Fundamental,  and 78 hours Advanced.  Periodically, special evening or weekend courses may be offered covering the same curriculum offered in the regularly scheduled classes.  All special schedules will be announced in advance, if applicable.


Credit for Prior Hypnosis Training

  •     No Credit will be given for prior hypnosis training.

  •     Layne Keck CHT - owner and instructor of The Capstone Institute of Hypnotherapy.  Various guest lecturers and speakers.


Licensure

  •    The Capstone Institute of Hypnotherapy is licensed  by  The Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education.


Student Conduct

  • The following is a list of conduct that will be considered undesirable or unsatisfactory:
  1.   Absenteeism / Tardiness
  2.   Disruption of classroom activities, both lab and lecture
  3.   Unwillingness or refusal to participate in classroom activities both lab and lecture
  4.   Lack of respect for fellow students
  5.   Lack of Confidentiality

                 The conduct mentioned above may result in the following:

  • Private conference with the instructor
  • Written Warning
  • Dismissal from course of study


Standards of Progress and Grading Scale

      Students will be required to demonstrate an ability to work with fellow classmates in both the classroom setting as well as the practical application of relaxation, suggestions, guided visualizations, and pinpointing.  Students having difficulties in any of these areas may be given additional homework or assistance.  Failure to comply with these requirements may result in early dismissal.

     Each course is of varying importance.  Therefore grading requirements differ from section to section and the student will be well prepared to meet the testing requirements.   If performance is not satisfactory, the student can retest by reviewing the material, listening to discussion after every test, and retest outside the normal class hours.  Oral exams will be graded on a satisfactory / unsatisfactory basis only.

  •     80% on all Written Exams is required to pass
  •     Oral Exams are Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory Only
  •     Satisfactory Classroom Participation
  •     Homework, Including Completion of Self-Hypnosis CD Requiring 75% Competency


Refund Policy

  •     A registration fee of $50.00 will be assessed if enrollment is cancelled after registration
  •     If you cancel your enrollment or are dismissed for non - compliance of student policy before more than 45% of the program, you will be charged the registration fee referenced in the preceding paragraph, a termination fee of $100.00 and a pro - rated fee based upon the percentage of completion times and the total tuition amount.
  •     If you cancel your enrollment or are dismissed for non-compliance of student policy after completion of more than 45% of the program, you will be charged the Full Amount of the Tuition.

 

Refund Example A

       If a student has paid in full for the Fundamental or Advanced Courses (paid separately) and has received 22 hours of instruction and cancels his/her enrollment or is dismissed, he/she would have attended 29% of the program (22hours divided by 75 hours equals 29%) and the refund would be as follows:

  • Registration Fee                                   $50.00
  • $1,350.00 x 29%                                $391.50
  • Termination Fee                                 $100.00
  • Total Charges                                     $541.50
  • Refund Amount  $1,350-$808.50 =    $808.50


Refund Example B

      If a student has paid in full for the Fundamental or Advanced Courses and has received less than 67.5 of instruction (45% of total curriculum paid for) and cancels his/her enrollment or is dismissed, the refund would be calculated using the same formula referenced above.  The following is an example of how his refund would be calculated:

  • Registration Fee                                               $50.00
  • $2.550.00 x 43%                                         $1,096.50
  • Termination Fee                                             $100.00
  • Total Charges                                              $1,246.50
  • Refund Amount  $2.550-$1,246.50 =          $1,303.50


(If 67.5 Hours or more are completed, the whole tuition was charged.)


If you cancel your enrollment or are dismissed for non-compliance of student policy and a refund is due; the amount will be calculated on the last day you attend class and will be made within 60 days of cancellation, dismissal, or attendance.


Late Enrollment Fee 

    If enrollment is not received seven days prior to class class commencement, a late enrollment fee of $50.00 will be charged, in addition to the registration fees and class tuition.


Attendance Requirements / Tardiness

    A maximum of three absences and / or tardy arrivals will be allowed per course study.  All classes missed must be made up, including tests (written or oral), homework or any other curriculum.  An absence is a failure to attend scheduled classes.  There will be no distinction made between excused and unexcused absences.  Tardiness is defined as arriving to class five or more minutes after scheduled commencement time.  If a student is absent or tardy more than the three allowed instances, disciplinary action will be taken.  Such action could range from conference with instructor or dismissal, based upon circumstances.


Job Placement

    No guarantee, written or implied, is given to students upon completion of the required courses.


Class Size and Location

    Class size will be limited to no more than six students per course of study.  Classes will be held at Layne Keck's offices at Capstone Wellness Center located at 612 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107.
